MOSS SIDE 7TH DEC

Strolling westwards ish along Upper Moss Side path towards Norton Marsh and its two hides the huge towers of Fiddlers Ferry Power Station dominate the skyline.
The feeders along the path were a hive of activity with 30+ Tree Sparrow , Great Spotted Woodpecker , 2 Yellowhammer and Willow Tit plus loads of commoner stuff.

The 'posh' hide that over looks Norton Marsh and the River Mersey towards Fiddlers FPS.
A pair of Stonechat present and a lone Gadwall on the frozen pools.
400+ 'big' Gulls on the Mersey no 'whites' on show.
No Merlin on show today but surely ones due this winter as they seem quite regular at Hale and Frodders just t'other side of Runcorn Bridge.
No sign of any stints! today or big white herons.
