WADERS...

The return wader passage has began and we're already getting a good selection of species through the patch. These Blackwits (2 non breeding adults and an Icelandica race adult in the middle) are typical of what we get at this time of the year.
The first of many Green Sandpipers come to spend late summer here on Haydn's Pool, probably the best site in Cheshire for these birds with upto 12 togeather in some years.
Also around the pair of Redshank now with one youngster left. Three Oystercatcher and 6+ LRPs plus another Blackwit on Neumann's Flash next door. A return Sanderling would be nice seeing as I dipped the Spring two.

The local denizen of the Patch forest...Woody
Forgot to mention the KNOT that I found on Neumann's on 17th June which with the Dipper brings the Patch Year List upto 126 a very average score for this time of the year.
