ITS ALL WHITE...

Out surveying today somewhere in deepest Lancs, the snow covering everything but great for showing up animal tracks. The ones from the front of the 4x4 towards the camera are presumably Badger. The ones on the left a Stoat which proved very camera shy alas. Mine are in the middle by the way.
Grey Partridge are still doing well on the mosses despite the introduction of 100's of Red-legs.

Had three Barn Owls showing very well and the first time I've seen them hunting in the day time like their Norfolk cousins do, probably due to the heavy snow covering.

A Little Egret was very approachable in a roadside ice free ditch, an increasingly common euro invader.
Off to Jockland tomorrow so hopefully the M6 will be clear...fingers crossed!
