SUMMERS OVER ALREADY

What a week having amassed a huge carbon footprint whilst driving (2000+ miles) to such far flung places as Exeter, Norwich, Glasgow and Morpeth I would of hoped to have added a bag full of year ticks and closed the gap on Dan the man. I managed three, Monty's Harrier, a very easy to see Stone Curlew at Tuddenham and my third UK Black-winged Pratincole. Still I continue to have bad luck (that dipping feeling). In Jockland no calling Corncrake at Gartloch, although 3pm in the afternoon wasn't the best time for this late evening crex-crex. No Gull-billed Tern at Bowling Green/Clyst Estuary, no Fudge Duck at Chew or Golden Pheasant (4th try) at Wolferton. The dip list is catching upto the whapped list or so it seems.
Scores on the doors:-
MARBURY YL 128
MOSS SIDE YL 111
UK YL 215 (218 FP)
CHESHIRE YL 178
NORFOLK LIFE LIST 291
