WHAT A WEEK...

I won't dwell on the footy suffice to say...''typical Germans'' and well done Barcelona on retaining the Champions League.
Piccy above is probably one of my worst ever but with alot of imagination you can just pick out the ghostly shape of the patch irregular LITTLE EGRET that I discovered early on Tuesday morning. Initially roosting in the over hanging willows by the heronry it flew into the field by the Sailing Club to feed alongside the local Grey Herons. Brilliant...it gets me off the mark in the Fantasy League as well...dear me look who's bottom!
Trillions of Sand Martins on the Patch now and Fred and I were treated to an amazing spectacle t'other night as 250+ flew in close formation like a flock of locusts over the reedbed on Neumann's late Friday night. A Green Sandpiper was a very early migrant or late wintering individual on the secret pool behind Stilt Island with now 4 Redshank, loads of Curlew, 2 LRPs and several Oycs.
Scores on the doors...
