Having been well briefed by the Wizzal Wonder on the latest migration movements ie Tree Pipits in good numbers over, on and in the mist nets of Hilbre Island a mornings migration watch was a must.
6.00am till about 6.40am and the job was done, bird in the bag at the first attempt...
2 Tree Pipits over calling
one Snipe
a huge flock of mixed hirundines
several Linnets, Greenfinch and Goldfinch
a couple of groups of Lesser Black Backs
and that was about it, time for work.
