Nipped into Wally Res (Appleton Reservoir to you mere mortals) Saturday afternoon my Dad's favourite birding spot, especially at lunch time whilst doing his work notes. Put on the birding map when he found a Wilson's Phalarope way back in the 1970's.
Found a Black Tern which was still there the next day just 6 miles north of the Patch. Now if it would just do the decent thing and move south...please.
