WHITE THROATED ROBIN...OML!

We're sat around the hotel bar in the evening feeling glad all over as we've just been out on a Madeiran Pelagic care of MadeiraWindBirds and celebrating our good fortune with a few beers...Zino's Petrel, Fea's Petrel, White-faced Storm Petrel and hordes of Bulwer's and Cory's Shearwaters.
''wonder whats in the UK''...(it is June no less) a brief search on the web provides the answer and immediately the evening celebrations are in tatters...
WHITE THROATED ROBIN....you must be joking!!!!...aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

''its never gonna stay''
''Spring one dayer, surely?''

as we align our prayer mats to face East we realise our seawatching holiday has just had its heart ripped out...''the feckin jammy bastards''...

but all is not lost, we continue our pelagic quest and rack up Madeiran Petrel plus the Madeiran island endemics Trocaz Pigeon and Madeiran Firecrest and to add a bit of grip back value the long staying 3rd for WesternPal...
YELLOW CROWNED NIGHT HERON (take that and party)

The team return back to Britain some booking earlier flights in a desperate attempt to connect with the Hartlepool blocker...............

nothing doing in the Doctor's garden...

or the allotments where it was first trapped but wait a call from Comberbach's finest, running Birders!! its been relocated. I grab our borrowed ladder throw it under Gregsy's car and run to the bowling green just in time to see the WHITE TROATED ROBIN land by the roses...

wow!!!! what a crackin bird and what a grip back. High fives all round.

the admiring hordes quench their listing thirsts on this tick for all MEGA!! I manage to get some film footage as it performs (almost shows off) on the Bowling Green fence...

oh look who's that stealthing for a better image?...

its non other than bluenose himself....

it was with much smugness that I relpied to all the Monday texts...sorted! what a close call...phew!!
